Cardinals expect Carson Palmer to announce return soon
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer is expected to announce that he's coming back "real soon," according to head coach Bruce Arians.
This has been the expectation ever since Larry Fitzgerald announced his return earlier this week. Palmer is now 37, but proved he has something left in the tank at the end of the season. David Johnson will remain the focal point of the Cardinals' offense in 2017.
Palmer let his age show at times this season but finished with 26 touchdown passes and 4,233 passing yards. His 0.11 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back ranked 21st out of the 39 quarterbacks to drop back at least 100 times in 2016.
