Larry Fitzgerald confirms his Cardinals return in 2017
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is "definitely" returning for the 2017 season, as he told ESPN's Jim Trotter.
It'll be the final year of his contract, and quite possibly Fitzgerald's farewell tour. Turning 34 before the 2017 season, Fitzgerald has strung together consecutive 100-catch, 1,000-yard campaigns. Although he has faded down the stretch in each of the last two years, Fitzgerald remains Arizona's best and most reliable receiver.
Among the 41 wide receivers with at least 100 targets this year, Fitzgerald earned the third-fewest Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target.
