Texans' J.J. Watt (back) says he's been 'fully cleared'
Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt (back surgery) said he's been "fully cleared" and expects to participate in OTAs.
This coincides with a report from a couple weeks ago that stated Watt is ahead of schedule in his recovery. Even if he remains limited for OTAs, Watt should be back to 100 percent well ahead of training camp.
Even without Watt, the Texans still finished with the fourth-best defense this season in terms of opponent-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
