Melvin Gordon suffered season-ending PCL sprain for Chargers
San Diego Chargers running back Melvin Gordon's season ended last year due to a sprained PCL, which was unclear until now.
Turning 24 in April, the arrow is still pointing up on Gordon after a promising sophomore campaign in which he averaged 108.9 total yards per game and scored 12 touchdowns across 13 appearances. The Chargers may look to scale back Gordon's workload, but not by much.
Among the 42 running backs to top 100 carries this year, Gordon's -0.03 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per attempt were 26th-best. This was just below the -0.02 average for Rushing NEP per attempt this year.
