Jay Ajayi just scratching surface of potential, Dolphins believe
The Miami Dolphins believe running back Jay Ajayi has "just scratched the surface" in his development.
Ajayi doesn't turn 24 until this summer. Despite barely even playing the first month of the season, Ajayi finished fourth in the league in rushing with 1,272 yards and led the league in yards after contact per attempt. If the Dolphins can straighten out their offensive line, specifically at guard, Ajayi's ceiling still has room for growth.
Ajayi was ridiculously efficient with his rushing touches, coming in sixth in Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt among the 42 running backs with at least 100 carries this year.
