Cleveland Browns inside linebacker Jamie Collins is seeking $12 million annually, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
The Browns have made "significant progress" in extension talks, with a contract between the sides expected to be finalized soon. Collins is looking for Luke Kuechly money (5 years, $61.8 million). With the most cap space in the league, Cleveland shouldn’t have trouble getting a deal done.
After ranking third-worst in opponent-adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points per play through Week 8 (when Collins arrived), the Browns run defense was 19th in the league through the end of the season.
