Packers admit injured wide receivers wouldn't play in regular season
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said on Thursday that injured wide receivers Davante Adams (ankle), Jordy Nelson (ribs) and Geronimo Allison (hamstring) probably wouldn't play Sunday if it were the regular season.
Adams and Allison aren't expected to practice until Saturday, but it sounds like they will play even well below 100 percent. Nelson remains a longshot despite getting in a limited session on Wednesday. The Packers will need to have a full deck on offense in order to keep pace with the Atlanta Falcons, but all three players may be restricted in some fashion if they do suit up. Expect the likes of Randall Cobb, Jeff Janis and Jared Cook to see more looks on Sunday.
Our models remain fans of Adams for the conference finals, ranking him as the fourth-best fantasy wide receiver with a projection of 5 catches for 64 yards and 0.57 touchdowns versus the Atlanta Falcons.
