Ben Roethlisberger performs well enough to get Steelers to Championship Game

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 20-of-31 passes for 224 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in the Divisional Round win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

What It Means:

The Steelers didn't score a single touchdown, but still managed to win on the back of kicker Chris Boswell's six field goals. Roethlisberger had a 17-yard touchdown knocked away by cornerback Marcus Peters just as wide receiver Antonio Brown hit the ground with the ball, and Roethlisberger's pick was a tipped ball at the line that fell into safety Eric Berry's arms in the end zone. Big Ben's road woes are well documented, and he'll now be heading to New England to take on the Patriots in the AFC Championship game.

Roethlisberger only slightly outperformed his Chiefs' counterpart, Alex Smith, by putting up -2.00 Net Expected Points on 31 passing attempts in the Divisional Round, per numberFire Live.
