Falcons' Julio Jones aggravates toe injury in fourth quarter
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones aggravated his foot/toe injury in the fourth quarter of the Divisional Round win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Jones pulled up gimpy earlier in the second half, but stayed in the game. He was then absent as Atlanta worked to kill the clock. Jones excelled on the day, winning matchups with cornerback Richard Sherman from start to finish. The Falcons' offense is a well-oiled machine, but missing Jones could easily be the difference between making the Super Bowl or missing it. Head coach Dan Quinn said the Falcons have "no concern" about the foot injury Julio Jones suffered in the fourth quarter of Saturday's win, and that Jones "could have come back if needed."
Jones caught six passes for 67 yards and a touchdown before going down, earning 8.95 Net Expected Points on those eight targets, per numberFire Live.
