New York Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan said he likes Christian Hackenberg "as a prospect."
The 2016 second-round pick remains nowhere close to being ready to take the field, meaning the Jets will need to bring in another veteran free agent until Hackenberg is written off entirely. Maccagnan said the Jets won't rule anything out in regards to their quarterback search.
As a team, the Jets finished this season ranked 30th in terms of schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points per play.
