Connor Cook confirmed as Raiders starter for Wild Card game
Oakland Raiders rookie quarterback Connor Cook will make his first career start in Saturday's Wild Card matchup with the Houston Texans.
Cook will be the first quarterback ever to make his first career start in the postseason. He completed 14-of-21 passes for 150 yards, with one touchdown and one interception, in relief last Sunday after Matt McGloin went down with a shoulder injury in the first half. Brock Osweiler will be under center for Houston, so don't expect many points in this one.
Cook draws a tough matchup for his first career start, as the Texans finished the regular season ranking sixth in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play. However, we have them as only the seventh-ranked D/ST for the four-game Wild Card slate.
