Raiders' Derek Carr reveals broken finger, not sprained
Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr admitted his finger was broken, not just dislocated.
Carr injured his pinkie in Week 12. His play went drastically downhill afterward, as Carr completed just 55.5 percent of his passes over his final four appearances. That's compared to 66.4 percent before the injury. The offseason concern, of course, is Carr's broken leg. Both injuries should be healed well in advance of training camp.
Despite a middling final month of the season, Carr came in ninth in Passing Net Expected Points per drop back among the 39 quarterbacks to drop back at least 100 times in 2016.
