The Buffalo Bills made the decision to move on from quarterback Tyrod Taylor (groin) "weeks ago," Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports.
Taylor has been benched for Week 17 and might need groin surgery despite being left off the final injury report. That surgery could complicate the Bills' plan to move on as Taylor's contract calls for a guaranteed $30.75 million if he cannot pass a physical by the start of the new league year.
Among the 39 quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs this season, Taylor's 0.12 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back ranks 19th.
