Thomas Rawls

Thomas Rawls (shoulder) may be unavailable for Seahawks' Week 17

The Seattle Seahawks are unsure about running back Thomas Rawls' (shoulder) availability for Week 17, head coach Pete Carroll said.

What It Means:

Rawls has yet to have an MRI on what the Seahawks have called a bruised shoulder. "I don't think it's bad," Carroll said, "but he did get banged." Seattle is still fighting for potentially a second seed and the first-round bye which comes with it, but they should be able to beat the lowly San Francisco 49ers even without Rawls. It would not be a surprise if he sits this week. Alex Collins is the next man up in the comically banged-up backfield.

Collins earned 0.29 Net Expected Points (NEP) on seven rushing attempts in Week 16, per numberFire Live. Rawls had eight attempts for -3.53 NEP.
