Philadelphia Eagles running back Ryan Mathews has suffered a herniated disc in his neck, and will miss the Eagles' final game of the season in Week 17.
Mathews will need to undergo surgery for the injury, and it's possible that this injury will affect his availability into the 2017 season.
Despite the injuries, Mathews quietly played really well this season. His 0.07 Rushing Net Expected Points per carry rank 13th among the 65 running backs to have seen at least 50 rushes this season.
