Giants' Shane Vereen re-tore his triceps Sunday
New York Giants running back Shane Vereen re-tore his triceps in the Week 15 win.
Head coach Ben McAdoo confirmed the report. Vereen initially tore his triceps back in Week 3 and spent 10 weeks on injured reserve before returning to action in Week 14. He clearly wasn't 100 percent and rushed back. Moving forward, the Giants will roll with a two-man committee of Rashad Jennings and rookie Paul Perkins. Vereen is signed through 2017 but could be a release candidate this spring.
Vereen was targeted four times this past week, catching two, and earning just -0.19 Net Expected Points, per numberFire Live.
