Adrian Peterson to start for Vikings on Sunday

The Minnesota Vikings plan to start running back Adrian Peterson Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

What It Means:

A beat writer previously guessed Peterson would be "worked in slowly." RapSheet's report is more aggressive, stating Peterson will get his job back immediately from Jerick McKinnon, and Peterson's carries will be "determined by how his knee feels." Peterson is rushing back from a four-to-six month meniscus surgery in three months. We've seen him do crazier things before, but Peterson's obstacles include an offense no longer befitting Peterson's skill set, one of the NFL's worst offensive lines, and of course Father Time.

Peterson is a low-end top-40 running back for fantasy this week, with a projection of 40 yards from scrimmage and 0.20 touchdowns on 9 touches.
