Vic Beasley

Falcons focused on improving pass rush

The Atlanta Falcons are looking to boost their pass rush this year by rotating in plenty of players, according to their defensive line coach Bryan Cox.

What It Means:

The Falcons drafted Vic Beasley eighth overall this year, and he's impressing in camp. They also like what they've seen from Adrian Clayborn, Jonathan Babineaux, Tyson Jackson, Paul Soliai, and rookie Grady Jarrett. If the pass rush really does improve, then Atlanta might not be the easy fantasy football target they were last year.

Last year, the Falcons ranked 28th in pass defense, according to our schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points metric, which indicates how many points above or below expectation-level a team allows. You might want to think twice before going all-in on the Philadelphia Eagles' passing offense in Week 1.
