Broncos say Justin Forsett will have immediate role in offense
Denver Broncos running back Justin Forsett is going to be an immediate part of the team's backfield plans, head Coach Gary Kubiak stated on Wednesday.
"He can help us quick," Kubiak said. "We need somebody to step in and contribute. It was a blessing he was let go the week before what we just went through." Forsett thrived with Kubiak earlier in his career and is already familiar with the playbook. He could supplant Devontae Booker as Denver's starting running back as soon as Week 15.
Our models currently rank Forsett outside of the top-50 running backs for Week 15, as we project him to gain 25 total yards on six touches. The Broncos rank 21st in Adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points per play.
