Panthers worried they rushed Kelvin Benjamin back too soon
The Carolina Panthers "got [wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin] out there too soon, too much," in his recovery from an ACL tear this offseason, head coach Ron Rivera said.
Benjamin has not been spectacular, but he has actually caught a larger percentage of his targets and averaged more yards per catch this year than his rookie season. He also is dealing with a shoulder injury which likely has nothing to do with being pushed back "too soon." The Panthers will look for answers after this lost season, but Benjamin has not been one of the problems.
Benjamin earned 1.22 Net Expected Points on nine targets in Week 13, per numberFire Live.
