Chargers' Casey Hayward shuts down Buccaneers' Mike Evans on Sunday
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans caught three of his six targets for 38 yards in the Bucs' Week 13 win over the San Diego Chargers.
He did tack on a two-point conversion catch, but Evans was shut down by cornerback Casey Hayward in this game. Hayward added an interception and drew an offensive pass interference flag on Evans on an end-zone target. Evans is headed for a likely bounce back in Week 14, but Hayward got the individual matchup win.
Evans earned 2.88 Net Expected Points on his six targets, per numberFire Live.
