Shane Vereen (triceps, IR) returns to Giants practice
New York Giants running back Shane Vereen (triceps, I.R.) returned to practice Wednesday.
It opens a three-week window for the Giants to activate him. Vereen isn't going to play this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but if he gets through practice clean for the next two weeks, then there's a very real chance he plays Week 14. Vereen would immediately reclaim pass-down duties.
Among the 70 running backs with at least 30 rushing attempts this year, Vereen ranks 34th in Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt.
