Atlanta Falcons defensive end Adrian Clayborn's partially torn meniscus requires surgery, and he will be sidelined three-to-five weeks, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
That could obviously be the rest of the regular season, though head coach Dan Quinn insists he will return. By not placing Clayborn on injured reserve, the Falcons will be holding out hope for a playoff berth and on-schedule recovery.
Clayborn was a bright spot on an Atlanta defense going into Week 13 ranked 27th in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
