Detroit Lions running back Ameer Abdullah's (foot, IR) Tuesday checkup went well, ESPN's Michael Rothstein reports.
It puts Abdullah on track to be cleared for practice. Abdullah is looking like a strong candidate for Detroit's IR/return spot. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says it's "realistic" Abdullah could be activated within three weeks.
On 18 carries so far in 2016, Abdullah has earned 0.14 Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt.
