Vikings could have Adrian Peterson (knee) back for end of season
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (knee) could rejoin the team by "mid-to-late December," reports ESPN's Ben Goessling.
The Vikings have been encouraged enough by Peterson's progress to believe he could return by Week 15 or 16. Season-long owners with playoff seeds locked up could pick him up as a possible contributor for those final weeks.
Peterson had a brutal start to the season, and his -0.29 Rushing Net Expected Points per carry are the second-worst mark among the 65 running backs to tally at least 30 carries on the year.
