Cardinals' Tyrann Mathieu (shoulder) heading for game-time call
Arizona Cardinals defensive back Tyrann Mathieu's (shoulder) availability against the Minnesota Vikings will be a "Sunday decision," head coach Bruce Arians said Friday.
Mathieu's availability impacts how much Patrick Peterson will shadow Stefon Diggs this week. Diggs has been running almost exclusively in the slot over the past two games, which is where Mathieu was working prior to his shoulder injury. Peterson is going to be Diggs' primary defender either way, with Mathieu manning Kyle Rudolph if he plays.
numberFire's models rank Diggs as the WR30 for Week 11, projecting him to catch 6 passes for 77 yards and 0.33 touchdowns versus the Cardinals. Arizona's defense is 23rd in the league in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play this season.
