Steelers' Sammie Coates says 'busted hand' is reason for poor performance
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Sammie Coates blamed a "busted hand" for his struggles over the last month.
"There isn’t much I can do," Coates said. "My hand has to heal. It hasn’t healed yet." The second-year wideout explained that he will continue fighting through the injury, but that isn't going to help his fantasy value. He's caught just one of his last 11 targets, including an appalling drop in the end zone during a loss to the Baltimore Ravens two weeks ago. He played only two snaps in Week 10 and can be dropped.
Among the 74 receivers with at least 40 targets this season, Coates ranks 11th in Reception Net Expected Points per target.
