Tampa Bay's Jacquizz Rodgers (foot) sheds boot, doesn't practice

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Jacquizz Rodgers (foot) is not wearing a walking boot anymore, but he remains sidelined at practice.

What It Means:

Rodgers still isn't going to play against the Chicago Bears this week, but it's nice to see he's no longer in the boot. Doug Martin (hamstring) is expected to make his first start since Week 2 after returning to practice on Wednesday.

The Buccaneers rank ahead of only the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs in terms of schedule-adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. The Bears rank 18th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP allowed per play this season.
