Doug Martin (hamstring) returns to Buccaneers' practice
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin (hamstring) was active at practice on Wednesday.
There was word last week that Martin would be able to return this Sunday against the Chicago Bears. Martin suffered a setback a couple weeks ago when trying to return, but hopefully he can make it through this week clean heading into Sunday's matchup. Despite being on the shelf since Week 2, Martin makes for a relatively safe fantasy play in Week 10. The Buccaneers are down to only undrafted rookie Peyton Barber in the backfield following a slew of injuries.
The Buccaneers rank ahead of only the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs in terms of schedule-adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. The Bears rank 18th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP allowed per play this season.
