Colts' Vontae Davis (concussion) still needs clearance
Indianapolis Colts cornerback Vontae Davis (concussion) will visit an independent doctor on Saturday to determine his Week 9 availability.
The neurologist will determine whether Davis should be cleared for game action. Davis practiced in a no-contact jersey on both Thursday and Friday, which is a good sign but also confirms he still has hurdles to clear. If Davis can't play, all of the Green Bay Packers' passing-game members would see a boost.
Davis is typically a shadow cornerback, and was expected to follow wide receiver Jordy Nelson in Week 9. Our models currently project Nelson as the seventh-best wide receiver for fantasy purposes this week, with a line of 4 catches for 68 receiving yards and 0.67 touchdowns. If Davis is out, those numbers may increase.
