Steve Smith Sr. (ankle) returns to practice for Ravens after all
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday after it was previously reported that he remained out.
Smith was sidelined during the portion of practice open to the media. The Ravens want to keep everyone on their toes regarding Smith's Week 9 availability after he missed the previous two games. This was his first practice since spraining his ankle almost a month ago. Mike Wallace and Dennis Pitta stand to see the biggest uptick in targets if Smith is sidelined again.
The Ravens rank 32nd in the league in Adjusted Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. Among the 56 receivers with at least 40 targets this season, Smith ranks 34th in Reception NEP per target.
