Buccaneers officially rule out Jacquizz Rodgers (foot) for Thursday night
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Jacquizz Rodgers (foot) is out for Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons.
What It Means:
He might have been able to play on Sunday, but won't be able to provide his services on Thursday Night Football. Antone Smith is expected to lead a backfield committee for Tampa Bay that should also feature Peyton Barber. Mike James could be sprinkled in as well.
The Falcons rank 29th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points Allowed per game this season, but Smith and Barber will be risky fantasy bets on Thursday night.
