Lamar Miller (shoulder) a game-time decision for Texans
Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller (shoulder) will be a game-time decision for Week 8 against the Detroit Lions, head coach Bill O'Brien said.
Miller practiced all week, but obviously his status can't be taken for granted. Speaking Friday, Miller admitted he has experienced "numbness" in the shoulder, and O'Brien's noncommittal stance on Miller's availability suggests there is lingering concern. Alfred Blue needs to be owned everywhere as a potential workhorse in a dream matchup with Detroit's leaky run defense.
The Lions are 27th in our adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points per play analytic, and -- if healthy -- we project Miller as our fifth-best fantasy running back this week. Our algorithms peg him for 80 rushing yards and 0.62 touchdowns on 19 carries, plus 3 receptions for 24 yards.
