Cowboys' Tony Romo (back) remains absent from practice

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (back) is not practicing Monday.

What It Means:

This confirms an earlier report from CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, who relayed that Romo has not been "fully cleared" for practice. He's going to remain sidelined for Week 8 and potentially several more. With rookie Dak Prescott leading Dallas to a 5-1 record through the first seven weeks of the NFL season, they will give Romo as much time as he needs.

Our models don't expect Romo to spend much time on the field this season, and we project him for only 296 yards, 1.71 touchdowns and 0.99 interceptions on 40.66 pass attempts over the remainder of the year.
