Bears' Brian Hoyer to have surgery on broken arm Sunday
Chicago Bears quarterback Brian Hoyer will have surgery to repair his broken left forearm on Sunday.
Per ESPN's Adam Caplan, Hoyer is expected to miss at least eight weeks. With only nine games left on the Bears' schedule, there's a strong possibility Hoyer will be placed on season-ending IR. Backup Matt Barkley will handle quarterback duties until Jay Cutler (thumb) is ready to return. It's a downgrade for all Bears' receivers.
On just 15 passing attempts, Barkley accrued -7.39 Net Expected Points in Week 7, per numberFire Live.
