Mike Gillislee in line to start for Bills if LeSean McCoy sits
Buffalo Bills running back Mike Gillislee is expected to start if LeSean McCoy (hamstring) is not able to play this week, according to ESPN Bills reporter Mike Rodak.
Rodak notes that Gillislee won't take on McCoy's normal workload, but he will be the leader in the clubhouse on Sunday for a team who likes to tote the rock. The Bills face the Miami Dolphins in Week 7.
On 17 attempts this season, Gillislee is averaging 0.42 Rushing Net Expected Points per play. That is the best mark in the league among all backs with at least 10 attempts.
