Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston (knee, PUP) is practicing Wednesday.
What It Means:
Houston is eligible to debut this week against the New Orleans Saints, but the Chiefs will likely err on the side of caution and take a similar approach to the one they've implemented with Jamaal Charles. Expect the Pro Bowl linebacker to return in Week 8 at the earliest.
Houston's return will be a huge boost to a Kansas City defense that currently ranks 30th in Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play after you adjust for schedule.
