Jets' Eric Decker might not be recovered by next season
New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker (hip surgery, shoulder surgery) might not be ready for the start of the 2017 season.
"It'll probably be close," head coach Todd Bowles said. Decker can't go under the knife for his shoulder until he's off crutches from his recent hip surgery. There's no telling when the crutches will go, and the shoulder operation comes with an eight-month timetable whenever it does take place. Decker will be 30 by the start of next season and the Jets will have a decision to make on whether or not they want to bring back their number-two receiver.
The Jets rank 26th in terms of Adjusted Passing Net Expected Points per play through the first six weeks of the season.
