Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger undergoes meniscectomy Monday
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger underwent a meniscectomy Monday, reports DK Pittsburgh Sports.
In layman's terms, the procedure involves removing all or part of a torn meniscus, and isn't nearly as consequential as a full repair. Roethlisberger could return following the Steelers' Week 8 bye. Landry Jones has already been named the starter for Sunday's matchup against the New England Patriots.
Roethlisberger returned to the Week 6 game after missing just one passing attempt, but earned -8.50 Net Expected Points on his 34 attempts, per numberFire Live.
