Cowboys to wait until Tony Romo (back) is 100 percent to name starter
The Dallas Cowboys won't make a decision at quarterback until Tony Romo (back) is 100 percent, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Romo had originally targeted Week 8 for his return but now it sounds like he may need more time. With rookie Dak Prescott playing well, the Cowboys can afford to give Romo as much time as he needs. Jerry Jones has repeatedly asserted that Romo will be the starter when healthy but that could change if Prescott continues to exceed expectations.
Prescott has earned 0.35 Passing Net Expected Points on 162 drop backs in his rookie season, the second-most among all quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs through Week 5.
