Vision concerns worrisome for Washington's Su'a Cravens

Washington linebacker Su'a Cravens may have long-lasting cranial nerve damage, due to concussions he's sustained in college and this year.

What It Means:

Cravens reportedly visited a specialist on Tuesday. "Due to my concussion, my eyes have lost the memory to keep track of moving objects, so I have to wear these for the rest of my life," Cravens posted on social media. CSN Mid-Atlantic reports there's "zero truth" to this assertion, however. The claim does seem odd, but there was little reason to believe he was lying. More than likely, the truth is somewhere in the middle: Cravens is having eye issues, but they probably aren't permanent. It's unclear when he will be cleared to play again.

The Washington defense ranks 27th in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play through Week 5.
