X-rays negative on Cody Kessler's ribs, Browns receive rare good news
Cleveland Browns quarterback Cody Kessler's X-rays on his ribs came back negative, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
What It Means:
There will be additional tests Monday, per Tom Pelissero of USA Today, but there is "optimism" Kessler will be under center for the Browns in Week 6 versus the Tennessee Titans. Charlie Whitehurst is the only other healthy quarterback on the roster.
Kessler had created 5.28 Net Expected Points on eight passing attempts prior to his exit, per numberFire Live.
