Sam Shields (concussion) out again for Packers' matchup with Giants
Green Bay Packers cornerback Sam Shields (concussion) will not play Week 5 against the New York Giants, said head coach Mike McCarthy.
Shields hasn't played since suffering the injury in Week 1, but McCarthy states the 28-year-old corner is "making some improvements." The biggest concern is Shields' long-term well-being, as his bill of health comes with a lengthy history of concussions.
The Packers' pass defense currently ranks 24th in numberFire's NFL Team Power Rankings.
