Latavius Murray will test toe Thursday, Raiders believe he has chance to play
Oakland Raiders running back Latavius Murray will test his toe injury Thursday, reports ESPN's Adam Caplan.
ESPN's Adam Schefter has already reported that Murray is "doubtful" to suit up against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, but Caplan's report suggests there's still a chance. DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard are expected to split the bulk of Murray's work in his anticipated absence. Jamize Olawale could vulture some short-yardage work, but Washington and Richard both provide flex value with upside in an appealing matchup.
According to our metrics, Washington is projected to rush 9 times for 37 yards and 0.38 touchdowns, adding 14 yards through the air on 2 catches. Richard is expected to turn 6 carries into 24 yards and 0.25 scores, with another 23 yards and 0.11 touchdowns on 2 catches. They are numberFire's RB30 and RB33, respectively entering Week 5.
