Brock Osweiler

Texans unconcerned with Brock Osweiler's turnover tendencies

Houston Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler's six interceptions are not a cause of concern, says head coach Bill O'Brien.

What It Means:

O'Brien did acknowledge that a couple of the interceptions "haven't been good decisions," but he took the blame for a handful of them. Osweiler has failed to establish chemistry with All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and it's fair to question if the 25-year-old quarterback is trying to force the issue, as five of the six picks have occurred while targeting the elite wideout. "I wouldn't call it trying to force the ball to Hop. I would call it I need to make a more accurate throw," Osweiler explained. "I just think I need to make better decisions and throw more accurate footballs." It's a novel idea, and one that Osweiler should strongly consider in Week 5 against a Minnesota Vikings defense that is being discussed as one of the best units in the league.

Osweiler currently ranks as our QB22 for Week 5 with a projection of 228 passing yards, 1.23 touchdowns and 1.26 interceptions on 21 completions.
