Cardinals' Chris Johnson (groin) lands on the injured reserve
The Arizona Cardinals have placed running back Chris Johnson (groin) on the injured reserve.
The IR stint will cost Johnson a minimum of eight weeks, and potentially his whole season if they don't make him their player designated to return. Andre Ellington will be the Cardinals' number-two back with Johnson on the sidelines.
Johnson had been having a very efficient season, with 0.06 Rushing Net Expected Points per carry, which was good for 11th among the 50 running backs with at least 20 rushes on the year.
