This -- along with Navorro Bowman's (Achilles') absence -- sets up for David Johnson to have a field day on Thursday night, with or without Carson Palmer (concussion).
Facing the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4, the 49ers defense allowed Dak Prescott to throw for 10.73 Net Expected Points. Buckner has recorded 21 tackles (six solo) through the first four games of his career.
