Navorro Bowman (knee) confirmed out for 49ers' season
The San Francisco 49ers confirmed Monday that inside linebacker Navorro Bowman is done for the year with a torn Achilles' tendon.
Bowman is the 49ers' defensive leader and top interior run stopper, and his loss is devastating to San Francisco's defense. Bowman has now torn his ACL, MCL, and his Achilles' over the past four seasons. Durability is proving to be a problem for him as his impressive career goes onward.
Prior to Week 4, the 49ers' defense ranked ninth in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
