Dolphins rookie DeVante Parker weeks away from return to field
Dolphins wide receiver coach Ken O'Keefe expects rookie wide receiver DeVante Parker to be featured in Week 1 even if he misses the entire preseason.
Parker was reportedly three to four weeks away from returning to practice earlier today. He has been praised by coaches for his mental approach to the game. Parker is currently slotted as the fourth wide receiver behind Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills, and Greg Jennings.
The Dolphins ranked 16th in our schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points per play metric last season. Parker will have to compete with three veteran wide receivers for playing time during his rookie season. We project Parker to finish the year with 48 receptions, 589 receiving yards, and 4 touchdowns.
