Patriots will evaluate Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) before Sunday's game
The New England Patriots will "evaluate" quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder, questionable) Sunday morning before deciding on a Week 4 starter, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Even if Garoppolo plays, the Patriots should lean heavily on LeGarrette Blount again. According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, Garoppolo needed a shot to get through practice this week. He was limited to about 100 throws per day, which is about half his usual workload. Jacoby Brissett's sprained thumb won't affect his status for Sunday, though the Pats would obviously prefer to have Garoppolo under center.
Our models expect both quarterbacks to see some action, projecting them to throw for a combined 268 yards with 1.61 touchdowns and 0.89 interceptions against the Bills in Week 4.
